Voice of Reason

Eric is my reason and I am using my voice to stop the violence!

May 31, 2021

Wow it has been 14 years today since I lost the reason for using my voice - Eric. I was talking to my dad today and said this is the day that changed my life forever. It created the definition of who I am, how I think, and what I do. It is not like I was really young when Eric died. I was 36. You would think at 36 I would be the person I was going to be for the rest of my life. That was not the case. I look back at being 36 and I was self absorbed. I was usually a kind person unless you got on my bad side. I wasn't horrible and I helped others but I was immature. I don't mean immature as not acting like a grown up wife and mother. I was immature in my thoughts and ideals. I was not committed to focusing on changing the world to be a better place. I was focused on my own little world. I was not focused on the bigger pictures in our world of racism, sexism, ageism, and how others are affected by my actions. My actions do have consequences. If I have bigoted ideals I can spread them to those around me. If I don't put my actions where my words are then I can create an area of confusion and dissension to those around me. If I have done something wrong then I need to apologize but not just in words, I must change the behavior as well. Before I speak out against a group of people I need to make sure I am not using generalization and basing it on prejudices. I need to consider other people's points of view when constructing a thought or argument towards certain things. I have to realize - believe it or not I am not always right. I am a very passionate person when it comes to my ideas so this took a lot of growth for me and at times I still fall into the rut but at least I am trying to correct the behavior. 14 years have passed since that devastating day. I have been growing towards being a better person everyday for the passed 14 years and I will continue to grown for years to come.

Kindness costs not a penny. Why then is it so hard for those compliance knocking, conspiracy theory and down right belligerent people find it necessary to challenge wearing a mask wear if it is mandated or suggested for COVID-19, or social distance or even follow the arrows in public places? It is not all about what the government wants. Sometimes it is what the average citizen feels. I am scared of contracting this disease. I suffer from autoimmune disease and I am the caregiver to my 87 year old father who has COPD. My sister is a frontline worker and my son has asthma. I appreciate the KINDNESS of people who take COVID-19 seriously. Those who work collectively to help stop the spread help people like me with anxiety because of the threat of sickness. Don't cross the lines laid out at businesses that my children work at. You might not worry about it but they do and so do I. Don't get too close to someone in the grocery store. Your lack of care may mean that someone like me cannot go do shopping for my father. Just be kind - don't be PIGHEADED! Life is not always about you. It is about our community and helping all. Kindness and consideration can go a long way in building a positive community.

May 3, 2020

Wash you hands, stay 2 metres away, don a mask if needed, limit your time in public, carry hand sanitizer, call your friends and family, take a walk, enjoy the outside, try out a new skill, and respect social distancing. It is up to you to help in the fight against COVID-19.

You don't have to be 100% you just have to give 100%! Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone's natural gifts are different. If you are called to do something give it your all! It may not be you fortay but if you tried your hardest that is all anyone can ask of you.

In life there are many people that you will come across. People on your path of life that will teach you lessons. Some teach you about love, some teach about politics, some teach you skills, others teach you tolerance, and perhaps the ones you learn from the most are those that teach you humility. Sometimes these people are the ones that point out flaws in your character that you need to work on. They do it graciously and without malice. They do it to help you because they want to see you grow and succeed. Than there are the people who do it in meanness. They go out to humiliate you for their own satisfaction. These are the ones we can truly learn lessons from. We can learn grace, acceptance despite their rudeness, conflict resolution, restraint, and forgiveness. This is not an easy task because our human spirit wants to lash out. It take control and discipline (hey something else we learn) to approach and tolerate these ill will individuals. BUT, if you learn the skill sets they teach you it will only benefit you throughout your life. It will teach you emotional management within school, friendships, work relationships, parenting, and marriages. So those that might be out to spite you are actually giving you valuable life tools. Haha on them :)

A Mexican, Lebanese, and Caucasian agree to donate life saving blood. Their blood is harvested and it is all O+. The bags get mixed up and know one can tell one blood bag from the other. You know why? EVERYONE BLEEDS RED! Their skin color has nothing to do with their blood they were just 3 people who chose to help others. Why in our world today are we still feeling the fight of centuries of discrimination? Every human bleeds red and every human deserves to feel inclusion. Everyone has a heart, a set of morales, a family, and a story it is just wrapped up in a different package. Do not make the mistake of judging someone by their outer appearance it is what is on the inside that matters. Let their actions speak not their skin color.

Let's all take a moment to be thankful, then a moment to be hopeful, another moment to be healthy, one more moment to learn something new, a moment to connect, a moment to be with someone you love, extend these moments to longer periods of time, now find yourself living your hours with these moments in mind and you will find when there is negativity you will have habits to help you through - moment by moment.

As parents we want what is best for our children. Sometimes as parents we don't always support our children's aspirations. When guiding and directing your child make sure to listen to what is their passion in life. Do not make your child live out your dream, let them discover their own dreams.

All of us have the ability to be a blessing. You can bless those in your family with a special supper, bless a neighbour by shovelling the snow, bless a senior by carrying their groceries to their vehicle, bless a friend with encouragement, or bless a stranger with a smile. It is within everyone's ability to bless another. You may find the person that is really blessed when you show grace to another is you.

I am excited to announce that my book is done! It has been quite an undertaking and at times a struggle to put down in words how losing my nephew, Eric, has affected and changed me. My promise to him is written down for all the world to see. It was my last promise to him before he died that I would do my part to make a positive impact in the world today. I hope by sharing my story I am able to change lives in a positive directions.

Guess what? Sometimes life just sucks! No matter what all the positive quotes on facebook say there are just sometimes that are not good or happy or joyful, they just suck. The only thing you can do is actually keep hope. Without hope nothing will get better.

It is not your ability or lack of ability to help an addict. Until addict helps themselves there is nothing you can do to help them.

Life is way to short to worry about unproductive drama. Sit back and take Oprah's advice: How will this affect me in 10 minutes, 10hours, 10 days, 10 months, or 10 years. If it really only affects you in the short term it is not worth the power of worry you are giving the situation.

Sometimes it takes a tragedy for the human race to bond together and realize the human plight together. To grieve together, work together, and give together of your resources and passion you can create a community of humanity. When you help others in their darkest hours you make for the lightest heart.

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.

~Dalai Lama~

October 30, 2015

It saddens me how friendships are not held in esteem anymore. It seems that whether it be youth or adults there is no line of loyalty. The breakage of bonds can be crushingly emotional even as an adult. Must we hold onto jealousy, pride, and a twofaced approach to life? It hurts everyone involved – you and the one that hurt you. Think twice before you hurt others it can come around and hurt you just as easily. If someone hurts you don’t allow them to hurt you again. You do not owe it to anyone to be stepped on, manipulated, and hurt. You owe it to yourself not to be vengeful and spiteful. Tell them how they have made you feel and leave them in their own wake. You do not need to borrow their unhappiness or spite. Be true to yourself. You don’t have to be friends with everyone you just have to be respectful to others.

Thankful for my many blessings of home, community, and country.

Heartfelt joy of my freedoms.

Anticipation of a fruitful future.

Not caring that I am a woman and not a man because I have equal rights.

Knowledge that I can live my days in freedom to be who I choose.

Smiles that are shared among family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers.

Giving the gift of blessings to others because I have been blessed.

Investing in my children so they can live their life passions without restraint.

Vocalizing my thoughts on freedom, justice, religion, and politics.

Inviting new and creative ideas in my mind for investigation and pondering.

Never worrying about my child being taken away as an instrument of war or vengeance.

Giving thanks to God whom I am free to celebrate.

Natures life is precise - timing and procession,

The sun rises in the morning and sets at night.

You are born, you live, you die,

And here on Earth another circle of life starts again.

Precision, continuity, timelessness, natural order,

Peacefulness is born of withstanding values and behaviours, these are things dreams are made of.

The human order of life can be jagged, quipped, and jumbled,

A child is born, a child is neglected, a child is under valued.

There is perpetual darkness even in the morning light,

A life is lived, not fulfilled, not engaged - just lived.

Cause and effect take over,

The effect of chaos is instability, instability causes fragmentation.

Fragmentation causes breakdown,

      Breakdown of a life.

Life becomes a living death - dark and endless,

The sun does not rise in it's Eastern glory, nor does it blink into the Western horizon among a backdrop of vivid color.

It just exists,

This is what the deepest nightmares are made of.

~A.Lambert~

Encourage a life of passion in yourself and others. Follow your passions so at the end of the day you never have regrets. Allow your children to dream and follow their passions. Do not put a limit on others' dreams and possibilities by down playing their passions even if they do not align with your thoughts. Life is a short moment of time - be PASSIONATE about it.

Every season can be defined by an emotion or need: winter - a time to rest and be peaceful, spring - a time to become anew and plant seeds of positive change, summer - a time to grow and nurture, fall - a time to reflect on the harvest of positivity that you have grown.

March 19, 2014

Here's the thing: Grief can be dealt with and put away neatly into a nice little compartment in your brain but it can take but a moment, an action, a smell, or a color to bring it all rushing to the surface again. It is heartbreaking initially to feel all the anguish over again but then if you stop and think it is actually amazing - it means that love is still present and memories are never forgotten:) Rejoice in your grief - to grieve so deeply means that you have loved so completely.

February 22, 2014

Do not waste your resources of time and energy on those that don't want it or are too self involved to appreciate it. There are many out there that would be thankful for the opportunity to benefit from your time, wisdom, and generosity. Who you ask? The child in a reading program at your local elementary school, the senior that needs a ride to church, the youth who needs a listening ear to the problems of their heart, the friend that is going through a rough patch in their marriage, the bum on the street that would greatly appreciate a cup of coffee. The list is endless.

THIS IS A LONG ONE BUT SO WORTH THE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!

DR. WAYNE DYER

My 12-Step Program for Simplifying Your Life

Here are 12 very specific tools for simplifying your life. Begin using them today if you’re serious about hearing that ultimate call to inspiration.

1. Unclutter Your Life. You’ll feel a real rush of inspiration when you clear out stuff that’s no longer useful in your life:

If you haven’t worn it in the past year or two, recycle it for others to use. Get rid of old files that take up space and are seldom, if ever, needed. Donate unused toys, tools, books, bicycles, and dishes to a charitable organization.

2 Get rid of anything that keeps you mired in acquisitions that contribute to a cluttered life. In the words of Socrates, “He is nearest to God who needs the fewest things.” So the less you need to insure, protect, dust, reorganize, and move, the closer you’ll be to hearing inspiration’s call.

3. Clear your Calendar of Unwanted and Unnecessary Activities and Obligations. If you’re unavailable for Spirit, you’re unlikely to know the glow of inspiration. God will indeed work with you and send you the guidance—and the people—you need, but if you’re grossly overscheduled, you’re going to miss these life-altering gifts. So practice saying no to excessive demands and don’t feel guilty about injecting a dose of leisure time into your daily routine.

4 Be Sure to Keep Your Free Time Free. Be on the lookout for invitations to functions that may keep you on top of society’s pyramid, but which inhibit your access to joyful inspiration. If cocktail parties, social get-togethers, fund-raising events, or even drinking-and-gossiping gatherings with friends aren’t really how you want to spend your free time, then don’t. Begin declining invitations that don’t activate feelings of inspiration. I find that an evening spent reading or writing letters, watching a movie with a loved one, having dinner with my children, or even exercising alone is far more inspiring than getting dressed to attend a function often filled with small talk. I’ve learned to be unavailable for such events without apologizing, and consequently have more inspired moments freed up.

5Take Time for Meditation and Yoga. Give yourself at least 20 minutes a day to sit quietly and make conscious contact with God. I’ve written an entire book on this subject called Getting in the Gap, so I won’t belabor it here. I will say that I’ve received thousands of messages from people all over the world, who have expressed their appreciation for learning how to simplify their life by taking the time to meditate. I also encourage you to find a yoga center near you and begin a regular practice. The rewards are so powerful: You’ll feel healthier, less stressed, and inspired by what you’ll be able to do with and for your body in a very short time.

6 Return to the Simplicity of Nature. There’s nothing more awe-inspiring than nature itself. The fantasy to return to a less tumultuous life almost always involves living in the splendor of the mountains, the forests, or the tundra; on an island; near the ocean; or beside a lake. These are universal urges, since nature is created by the same Source as we are, and we’re made up of the same chemicals as all of nature (we’re stardust, remember?).

7 Your urge to simplify and feel inspired is fueled by the desire to be your natural self—that is, your nature self. So give yourself permission to get away to trek or camp in the woods; swim in a river, lake, or ocean; sit by an open fire; ride horseback through trails; or ski down a mountain slope. This doesn’t have to mean long, planned vacations that are months away—no matter where you live, you’re only a few hours or even moments away from a park, campground, or trail that will allow you to enjoy a feeling of being connected to the entire Universe.

8 Put Distance between You and Your Critics. Choose to align yourself with people who are like-minded in their search for simplified inspiration. Give those who find fault or who are confrontational a silent blessing and remove yourself from their energy as quickly as possible. Your life is simplified enormously when you don’t have to defend yourself to anyone, and when you receive support rather than criticism. You don’t have to endure the criticism with anything other than a polite thank-you and a promise to consider what’s been said—anything else is a state of conflict that erases the possibility of your feeling inspired. You never need to defend yourself or your desires to anyone, as those inner feelings are Spirit speaking to you. Those thoughts are sacred, so don’t ever let anyone trample on them.

9 Take Some Time for Your Health. Consider that the number one health problem in America seems to be obesity. How can you feel inspired and live in simplicity if you’re gorging on excessive amounts of food and eliminating the exercise that the body craves? Recall that your body is a sacred temple where you reside for this lifetime, so make some time every single day for exercising it. Even if you can only manage a walk around the block, just do it. Similarly, keep the words portion control uppermost in your consciousness—your stomach is the size of your fist, not a wheelbarrow! Respect your sacred temple and simplify your life by being an exerciser and a sensible eater. I promise that you’ll feel inspired if you act on this today!

10 Play, Play, Play! You’ll simplify your life and feel inspired if you learn to play rather than work your way through life. I love to be around kids because they inspire me with their laughter and frivolity. In fact, if I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times: “Wayne, you’ve never grown up—you’re always playing.” I take great pride in this! I play onstage when I speak, and I’m playing now as I write.

Many years ago I was given a tremendous opportunity to appear on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. The man who took a chance on me, booking me even though I was an unknown at the time, was a talent coordinator named Howard Papush. It was my first big break, and I went on to appear on The Tonight Show 36 additional times. Now it’s my turn to say thank you to Howard. He’s written a wonderful book titled When’s Recess? Playing Your Way Through the Stresses of Life, which I encourage you to read. (Howard also conducts workshops that teach people how to play and have fun in life.) In the book, Howard shares this great quote from Richard Bach: “You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self.” I couldn’t agree more—by all means, get back in touch with your real, playful self, and take every opportunity to play! Notice how it makes everything so sweet, and so simple.

11 Slow Down. One of Gandhi’s most illuminating observations reminds us that “there is more to life than increasing its speed.” This is great advice for simplifying your life—in fact, slow everything way down for a few moments right here and now. Slowly read these words. Slow your breathing down so that you’re aware of each inhalation and exhalation...

When you’re in your car, downshift and relax. Slow down your speech, your inner thoughts, and the frantic pace of everything you do. Take more time to hear others. Notice your inclination to interrupt and get the conversation over with, and then choose to listen instead. Stop to enjoy the stars on a clear night and the cloud formations on a crisp day. Sit down in a mall and just observe how everyone seems in a hurry to get nowhere.

By slowing down, you’ll simplify and rejoin the perfect pace at which creation works. Imagine trying to hurry nature up by tugging at an emerging tomato plant—you’re as natural as that plant, so let yourself be at peace with the perfection of nature’s plan.

12 Do Everything You Can to Eschew Debt. Remember that you’re attempting to simplify your life here, so you don’t need to purchase more of what will complicate and clutter your life. If you can’t afford it, let it go until you can. By going into debt, you’ll just add layers of anxiety onto your life. That anxiety will then take you away from your peace, which is where you are when you’re in-Spirit. When you have to work extra hard to pay off debts, the present moments of your life are less enjoyable; consequently, you’re further away from the joy and peace that are the trademarks of inspiration. You’re far better off to have less and enjoy the days of your life than to take on debt and invite stress and anxiety where peace and tranquility could have reigned. And remember that the money you have in your possession is nothing but energy—so refuse to plug in to an energy system that’s not even there.

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” — Walt Disney

December 17, 2013

Christmas is a beautiful time of the year. There are so many wonderful things going on: concerts, sleigh rides, special meals, gatherings, and so much more. It is the happiest time of the year. And yet, it can be the most sadly tragic time of the year for some. I feel sadness weighing on my shoulders with all that is going on in my life: my brother in-law just diagnosed with inoperable cancer, my ...very close friend with cancer, other members of my family with long term illness, a very close family dear to my heart struggling financially, emotionally, and physically, and a friend that is grieving. I found this sadness engulfing me. I pondered it and wondered why this was all happening especially at this time of the year. My answer came to me: This is the perfect time of year! This is the season of hope, love, rejoicing, and life everlasting. That is why we celebrate. We celebrate everlasting life and the love that was given to us this season. We don't have to face all of our disparities alone we have the miracle of Christmas to help us through. So while some may pass from this life there is the faith of everlasting life to greet them and while others struggle there is hope and comfort in this life for them. I FOUND THE REAL REASON FOR THE SEASON! Merry Christmas One and All. God Bless

December 4, 2013

Take a Christmas moment and pass along goodwill:

1. Buy a coffee for the person behind you in line.

2. Shovel off a seniors walkway.

3. Tell the "bum" on the street to have a good day.

4. Deliver old coats to a coat program.

5. Help a mother with loaded down arms put her purchases in her vehicle.

6. Smile at a group of teenagers.

7. Share a hug with a frazzled friend.

8. Make a phone call to someone you know is struggling.

These are all just little things that could make a big statement.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can REALLY hurt you. Sadly, the old saying needs to be revamped. Words can hurt your spirit, your reputation, and your relationships. What is said can not be unsaid. I think the old cliché - Hold your tongue. definitely has validity!

In a moment a life can be taken away for ever. Tell all those that you love just how much you love them daily. Tell all those that you appreciate just how much you appreciate them daily. Tell all those that need your help to call. AND, tell all those that negatively impact you that sorry but you have no time for nonsense.

May 31, 2013

Six years ago today my life changed in the blink of an eye, a second of hate, a moment of insanity. It only takes moments to damage someone's life. Can it ever be repaired? It can be healed but there will always be scar tissue. How well it heals depends on what course of treatment one takes. At first my course was a band aid of hurt, despair, and anger. Eventually though I started taking a proactive ointment of educating, committing, and advising others of the effects of drugs, alcohol, and violence and how they can leave you broken. My life changed and I will always miss Eric and that will always be a negative effect. The positive is what I have chose to do with my hurt - help others. If you are a victim heal yourself. Do not let the actions of others continue to make you a victim. The healing hurts and as I have already said there will always be scars but you can close up the wound.

January 11,2013

Live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic...be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

1 Peter 3:8-9

Don't strike at those that hurt you. Be compassionate, try to figure out where they are coming from. If you can not reason with them let it go. Do not create more chaos and strife.

My first Christmas in Heaven I see the countless Christmas trees, around the world below, with tiny light, like Heaven’s stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear, for I am spending Christmas, with our Lord this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs, that people hold so dear, but the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring, for it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside you heart, but I am not so far away, we really aren’t apart.

So be happy for me dear ones, you know I hold you dear, and be glad I’m spending Christmas, with our Lord this year.

I send you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above, I send you all a memory of my undying love.

After all “Love” is a gift, more precious than pure gold, it was always most important, in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as my Heavenly Father said to do, for I can’t count the blessings of love, He has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas, and wipe away that tear, remember I am spending Christmas with our Lord this year.

With All My Love

In the past few years I have travelled to many different parts of the world. I am so thankful for this country we call - CANADA! We live in the greatest country in the world. I am thankful for the freedoms we cherish, the food we eat, the grace in which we live by, and the security that we hold dear. We are a blessed nation. There are people however that go without in this great nation - those who have fallen between the cracks. This Thanksgiving I encourage you to to show an act of kindness for someone less fortunate than yourself. Be that blessing that someone else is thankful for this Thanksgiving.

1/3 of Slave Lake has burned to the ground(Small town in Alberta). People have lost their homes, their businesses, their mementos, and for some I imagine their hope. It is yet another devasting incident that has been happening all over the world. But, now it is in my little section of the world. What I have seen because of this incident gives me a new and revived HOPE! Hope for the human race! I have witnessed people and communities pulling together to help all those in desperate need from Slave Lake. Albertans, Canadians, Americans, and beyond have joined forces to offer support for this little Albertan town. At the root of all people is not evil but good. Sometimes it takes tragedy to unearth the good :)

Allowing tears to flow, asking for a helping hand, sharing your burdens are not signs of weakness. Allowing pride to interfere with these three things are a sign of weakness. Pride in oneself keeps them from attaining peace. And, peace is everyone's right. Do not allow foolish pride to rob you of inner peace.

This an email that I received. I thought it was exceptionally done!

We never claimed to be perfect. That means we’ve learned to be humble.

We say excuse me and I'm sorry…as well as please and thanks.

Even when its not our fault we apologize.

Sure one arm of the torch didn't rise, but when the earthquake struck Haiti, Canadians raised their hands to say…”we’ll help”

And yah, there is a fence around the torch, but you can walk right up and shake hands with our prime minister and most famous Canadians.

We put Gretzky in the back of a pick up, in the rain, not surrounded by police…and he was okay. And by the way... The Great One is Canadian…and HE wasn’t complaining!

We do have security at the games, of course, but most people don't even have a gun they have to leave at home.

The medals ARE under lock and key but our doors and our hearts are open to the world.

It has been pointed out that some buses broke down last week….but let’s not overlook the fact that our banking system did not.

We didn't get the "green ice maker" right this time….but we will, eventually.

Just like we did when we invented the zamboni.

Citius altius fortius. If you don't reach higher how do you get faster and stronger.

Was the first quad jump perfect?

Should we not have given snowboarding to the world "in case" it didn’t take off?

So big deal…one out of four torch arms didn't rise. Good thing we had 3 more! It’s called contingency planning!

Remember…the CanadaArm works every time…in outerspace….and insulin turned out to be okay.

We couldn't change the weather but maybe we can help stop to global warming.

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. --Elizabeth Kubler Ross

It is okay to be mad - It is not okay to be mean!

I learned on the radio today that a flu virus could live on paper money for up to 17 days. How gross is that? I really have no profound thought today but I guess this one reinforces why handwashing is so important. It gives a new meaning to "Dirty Money".

A new year is upon us. What does this mean for you? Are you going to diet, try a new hairstyle, or perhaps go to the gym? Think about what your resolution is. Is it really something that is life enhancing or is it the same old thing? This year I resolve to work towards a happier and more stable world. I resolve to use my voice to promote happiness, stability, and affirmation. I resolve to let go of old bitterness, and to allow myself the right to be free. What is you resolution?

Christmas is about the greatest gift that mankind has ever received - Jesus Christ. Let's honor this gift by giving to others. This does not necessarily mean monetary gifts. It could be smiling to the drunk on the corner, helping someone shovel their driveway, offer to babysit for a friend that really could use a couple hours to wrap gifts without anyone around, make some extra Christmas treats for someone that just is not going to have time to bake this year, donate a dressy outfit that does not fit anymore to the thrift store so someone that can not afford a new outfit can feel stylish and good this season, or bring a frazzled teacher a Timmies coffee. The opportunities to give are endless. Make it your pledge to give a gift everyday and watch the happiness that you have created.

You have the chance to make a difference in someones life. Do not let your chance slip away. All you may have to do is smile at an elderly man to make his day, or hold open a door for a frazzled mother with young ones in tow, perhaps you could just smile and say "hey" to a teenager that does not really fit the mold, compliment a woman that looks like she could use a boost. You do not need to do anything profound just give of yourself. One act of kindness will generate into more random acts of kindness because you will feel better about yourself and most likely continue. The people that you have affirmed will feel better about themselves and most likely pass it along. And, so on and so on.
